You did not say what type motor you have but most models have a pressure release screw on the right side of your trim bracket...loosen it to release the pressure and you will be able to manually lift your engine.

ok guys i was for the irst half of the night my trim work good and then all of a sudden it just stopped. you can hear the motor turning uust no movement of the motor. my motor is stuck all the way down so it makes it hard to look at anything. i am good at working on boats but clueless on the hydraulics. any info would be helpful or how to getmy motor up so i can put my trim saver back on it.

i have a 40hp merc 4 stroke. ok i will try it out.
Sounds like you lost your pressure, I had a merc that shot out a stainless steal ball bearing and all the fluid escaped. I fixed the problem with a stainless steal self tapping screw and it fixed the problem.
