    Question Buzzbait brand??

I had someone ask me about a bait, and was wondering with all the great fishing minds on here someone else might have seen one of these.... the buzzbait had a hook that would move upwards but not down. It sounded a little like the leverage baits but it had something on the underside to keep the hook from going down. Any ideas out there?????

    Re: Buzzbait brand??

There may be a new brand out, not for sure, but I seen something like this some years back. The lead head of the bait had an extended piece coming out behind it that the hook rested in. The hook was not solid thru the head, it was on an eye at the back of the head and when retrieved, could flop and bounce around, but the piece behind the head would keep it from dropping below or under the head itself. Attaching a trailer into the gap section of the hook would really give it action.

Gambler buzzbait's, clackers and non-clackers. Tie them on the antenna of the truck out of the pack and go about 20 or so miles and take off. They get a nasty squeck too'em and then you know what happens, that awful sucking noise underneath of'em from that ole biggun.
