    Question Guntersville Guides?

    Hey everyone,

I've been researching a business trip to Birmingham and am hoping to skip out one day to fish Guntersville or any other local lake...everyone I've talked to has told me to hit the Guntersville grass! I've never seen the lake, other than watching Roland Martin hammer down on some hawgs there on television...

I plan on fishing either the 19th or 26th and will need a guide (flying into Birmingham without rods, reels, or tackle) that has enough gear to accommodate myself and a client. I've been looking at a couple of guides' websites, but would like some feedback from people who've used some of them and who's the best to use...

Any tips, info, or advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Re: Guntersville Guides?

Troy Jens is probably the best guide on the lake. Tim Chandler is also very good. Doug Campbell runs Waterfront Grocery & Tackle and is also a great guide. All of these guys can put you on good quality fish this time of year.
