Monster Northern Pike
This guy was fishing and caught a 36" pike - as he was reeling
in the 36" pike the 55 lb pike tried to eat it!!!!!
Brought them both in on the same net.
The 55 lb pike was never hooked but wouldn't let go of the 36"
pike.

That's not the same fish. The big pike in the boat was caught in Europe as well. This one's been floating around the internet for a couple of years.

sorry peter,friend of mine sent it to me,thought it was a nice fish and didn't figure it to be B.S. a couple of years...man my dial up must be real slow..
so what is the real story?i'd like to know i sonce i hadn't heard and the guy who sent to me thought it was real too.

I think the pictures themselves are real (and pretty amazing), but they are just of 2 different fish.
That first picture was definitely taken in the Northern MN or Southern Canada area. You can tell by the rust colored water. Also, the sun is out in that first one and not in the others.
I probably first saw both of these pictures a couple of years ago, and I've read since then that the large pike in the other photos was caught somewhere in Europe.

What can I say 'whisker? Looks like we ain't gonna be winning no Pulitzer award. MENSA won't return my phone calls either. We have to make room for ole Peter in our boat, the 'USS Gut Hooked'.
Shoulda stayed at a Holiday Inn last night.
