KDFWR are stocking largemouth bass in Herrington

I was at Chimney Rock Marina yesterday and watched the fish stocking truck release a load of black bass in the lake. Anybody heard about this stocking and how many will be stocked in Herrington?

They do a lot of stockings that they don't announce anywhere, but I bet if you send an email to the KDFWR InfoCenter at info.center@ky.gov and ask, they'll tell you about it. Now, when you say "black bass," what exactly do you mean? A mix of largemouth, smallmouth, and spots? Just one species?

My guess would be smallmouth--plenty of largemouth in that lake-and i bet there were no ky JMO

Hey Gw,
We have done pretty good on Kentucky's in Herrington even weighed in a few in tournies....Your right though the Largemouth are 10-1 on the Kentucky's.
I was wondering have you caught any Smallmouth in Cedar?
