That's unreal!! My question would have to be...as far as line class records, would it count since the fish was never actually hooked. Or would it count the smae way a foul hooked fish would?

Sorry Cobra, it may be unreal. I'm told there was a thread about this set of pics some time ago. I'm also told the 2 pics are of different fish and there's some question as to their authenticity. Oh well, they look real to me, and it's a heck of a story.
IMO if you did catch a fish in that manner it would count just the same as if you hooked him. I've caught plenty of fish where the bait fell right out of the mouth once I got it in the boat. If he chomps down on whatever's at the end of my line, long as he ain't foul hooked outside the mouth I claim him. Simple as that.
I was catching little sauger in the Ohio river not long ago that were not hooked, just wouldn't let go of the minnow. That's either one hungry or one dumb fish! Or both!!
