The Fishers of Men National Tournament Trail takes great pleasure in announcing the dates and location of our 2007/2008 $100,000.00 National Championship. This years Championship will be held March 31st thru April 5th on Kentucky’s Lake Cumberland. The weigh-ins will be held at Burnside Island State Park, beginning on Thursday April 3rd and conclude with the crowning of our 2007 National Champions who will be awarded the keys to a 2008 Triton TR20X Mercury Optimax package valued at $40,000.00+ on Saturday April 5th.

“Fishing on Lake Cumberland in early April can be exciting, and we could see several heavy bags of Smallmouth, & Largemouth, over 20 lbs”, reports South Central Director Don Smith. “Anglers can expect to see typical pre-spawn patterns, and fish will be caught on a variety of baits including spinnerbaits; jigs; jerkbaits & crankbaits. All will produce good numbers of fish in early April, and with the size of the lake, you can expect fishing pressure to be at a minimum.” Anglers can keep up to date on lake levels, fishing conditions and reports by visiting www.lakecumberland.com
This is updated daily.
