    took a break from fishing......

    yeah, i thought that was pretty neat. granted it is a "deduction" but i thought it was unique. my biggest so far and i believe i will have some work to do to top it next year.

    Congrats on that buck! I have not shot one that big nor have i seen one so i have allot of respect for the luck and or skill it takes. Any details on the hunt?

    Nice tine length. Congrats that's a nice keeper buck for sure. My guess is a 140 class maybe a little better, good job.

    good fortune and listening to seasoned hunters. advised by a friend on where to set up and to be patient. have only hunted for 3 yrs so i am eagerly listening and applying knowledge. sat in the middle of 4 trees on the ground. had a strange feeling and slowly sat up. noted movement out of my left periphery and saw him walking right up on me. he got within 30 yards and i squeezed the .223's trigger and got an excellent left shoulder shot. i was very fortunate (wind, location etc). my best so far and i expect going to be hard to top!

    friends farm i hunted on calculated in the 140-150 range also. truly the best deer i have ever seen let alone shot. again, i was very fortunate.

    youd be suprised about the score on that one...has good tine length,width and looks like good beams,not alot of mass,im guessing mid to upper 130's but good deer either way...i got a good 8 pointer this year too but im just too lazy to post pics...lol

    Very hard to score deer from pictures, very hard.
