Ky State Park ramp is usable, but the concrete slabs are broken and uneven. I launched a 21' bassboat there a couple of times lately. Don't know about Starpoint.

Hey.......I'm headed to Dale this weekend, and was wondering if anyone uses the StarPoint ramp. With the water levels, I was wondering if it is useable......
Also, if that one is not, can anyone recommend a ramp that is useable with someone without 4wd.......

Thanks,

i was there first week of oct and both ramps were usable. they had added some gravel. stayed in 2wd no prob. if water has not dropped you should be fine. good luck!!!
thanks for all the replies.......
I'm leary this time of year.......mostly because I don't have 4wd......I'm especially concerned this year with the water being so low........
I do take a couple bags kitty litter, and salt, when I NEED to clear a ramp, but other than that, I hope for good NON FREEZING but spitting snow, and overcast, float and fly weather .
Me and a friend put in at Holly creek yesterday and it wasn't bad at all. A little bumpy but not bad. It isn't an incredibly steep ramp either which may help since you don't have 4x4.
Is there enough water at the Holly Creek ramp to launch a 20 foot bassboat?
water has dropped sence then Id call the dock first like the other post if eagels cove is that close
Just checked with the state dock and it is usable. We are having a tournement there on Saturday and launching from the state. Guys have been launching 19 and 20 foot bass boats with no problem. If you see the Fishers of Men trailer, stop by and say hello.
I just checked the website and the water level is the same today as it was yesterday and there was plenty of water for a 20 footer. You'll probably have to get your tires wet but it was fine. We were in a 18 ft boat and had no problems at all.
