Not real experienced with jig fishing, really trying to learn the ropes with it. What type and test line do you Guys recommend?

I'm old school I guess I like 17#-20# Clear Excel Mono.
I like floro, just for the feel of all around jig fishing. I like heavier copolymer for flipping in heavy cover- cheaper and easier to see.
12 or 15lb big game.
flourocarbon - hands down.
It depends on the type of Jig fishing that you're doing. If your pitching heavy cover you want to use bigger line, 20lb maybe even 25lb. Even just your typical casting on points and such down to about 20ft or so 20 lb is fine. For me anyway if your fishing deep with big football heads or stroking a jig, I'll lighten my line and go to 12 or 15 lb to help get it down there. Also heavier line will get more memory in it than lighter line will. It doesn't matter what kind it is they all will and the coils from the memory will cause you to lose some of the sensitivty in the line and miss some of the lighter bites especially in deeper water. I love p-line halo personally. I think it's about the most bang for the buck out there. That's just my opinion though.

12# p-line.. nothing else on my reels.
14 lb spiderwire here.
I like 50Lb Spiderwire Stealth. It's almost unbreakable and is the same diameter of 12lb mono. You can feel every rock or stick and it has no stretch which is great for hook sets
15-20 lb premium monofilament Trilene Big Game , Stren Super Tough. are decentwith a Polomar knot. I do like the feel I can get with flourocarbon line, but hate its cost and can't tie a knot in it very quick.
So I guess the flouro gives better feel?
