Depends on what time of year. But for most of it, I like a green lizzard. Then there is always my favorite - rootbeer bandit.

As long as the temps are up, mine is a pearl zoom super fluke. If the temps are down, black/blue jig with pork trailer to match.

Amen!!!on the rootbeer bandit, I like the 200 series this thing works everywhere I fish. Also like the smoke purple tube ( Cabin Creek), fished on a small jig head.

    Talking Re: Go to bait

DUMB QUESTION: If's that's your "go to bait" what do you cast as your "normal bait" and why don't you cast your "go to bait" all the time"?

JUST HAVING A LITTLE FUN, BUT DO YOU HAVE A RESPONSE???

    Good Fishing to All,

    Re: Go to bait

i dont throw my go to bait all the time for several reasons. One is when i get on the water i want to try baits that i think will work for the conditions im experiencing that day. If you only throw one bait all the time you will never become a well-rounded angler. Also i dont want the bass where i fish to become to accustomed to seeing my go to bait, because eventually they will catch on and stop biting it.

So, you only got one lure in your tackle box? You got to try others. When you nothing seems to be biting, whats the one that you feel u will catch something on?
