    Ted Nugent for president....

Now there's a fella I'd vote for in a dang minute, and no I'm not trying to be funny either. If you really think about it, no real good choices ever run for office because they don't have enough money or enough insiders in Washington. We can debate the who's best all we want, but is there any that just make you giddy with hope, for me, NO is the answer. Name how many in your mind that you would consider to be exceptional presidents over the last 30 years or so. Tell me how many you come up with. First one that comes to my mind is Ronald Reagan.

Isn't ole ted another one of those god fearing wannabee war hero republicans who was a draft dodger?

Seems like I read something about him avoiding the draft years ago. Can't recall the excuse right now maybe you'll know HuH?

If he did serve god bless him.

No way Jose..... The last draft that I remember was Vietnam, uncle Ted would have been to young I think.

I love Ted's political views! He has a unique take on how to deal with criminals as well. He has some good ones on "you tube".

Rock on Don. I also like his how to deal with criminals. It's called the ''Whack'em Pack'em and Stack'em Policy", and I'm all for it, Get-r-Done.

If Jesse Ventura and the Governator can do it, why not TED? I may just do a write in for him.

I think he is right, but not 100% sure. Ted may not be as young as you think. Amboy Dukes Band (morphed into Ted Nugent) was playing back in the late 60's. Journy to the Center of your Mind was their best known hit.

Did a quick google search and came up with this one:

    http://www.campusprogress.org/tools/253/

Has the story of how he got out of the draft. Plenty of other info about him too. Born in 1948, so not real young.

As you have pointed out many times Andrew, I don't believe everything I hear or read on the internet. However if that story is true I would have to rethink my stance on uncle Ted. Bill Clinton made president though and his was a draft dogger. One of the many reasons I didn't like that swinging d-?k.

Definitely worth checking out a few other sources to be sure. Thats the same story I heard a few places. Guess if you could find the original newspaper intervue that would cinch it.

btw, I believe **** Chaney holds the record for the largest number of deferments....
