Check this site- www.fintalk.com or Google "Ft. Meyers Fishing Charter boats" and you'll get some names to work with, can't personally recommend a boat or capt.

does anyone here know a good site to look at which charter operators are the best? Some other guys in my family and I plan to go out on the gulf for a day looking for snapper, grouper, and whatever else we may manage to catch.
Does anyone here have ideas or suggestions?
Thanks

I have never fished out of there. But I would definitely stop and eat at "The Grill" at the marina there. That is some of the best seafood I have eaten in Florida. Sorry I am not more help - good luck.
Col Forbin; when are you going to be in FL. I am going on 2/9 for 10 days. We will be staying in Naples, then Clewiston, then Orlando (4 - 3 - 4). Any advice on Lake Okeechobee?
I have read your advice on the Kentucky posts and know you have a lot of insight.
Thanks a lot Col Forbin. I'd rather have a good "eating" tip than a bad "fishing" tip. We'll see if someone who's fished off those waters with a charter has any thoughts. I will keep searching the sites to get a feel for ones that seem knowledgable and reputable.
Check out Rick Featherstone at www.magichook.com - I caught a 9ft bull shark with him a couple of years ago and recommend him to anyone who really wants to catch big fish! True Pro!
