Back From My Florida Trip

Well I just had to come back sat night after a week of fishing. Went to lake walk in water most of the time, also went to crooked lake twice, kissimmee river twice and lake kissimmee once. Bass fishing was slow to say the least not many numbers of bass and yet another year I leave without getting the double digit one I was looking for. Biggest bass of the trip was 61/2 and 24". Buck bass up shallow with females still deep. Crappie fishing on the other hand was excellent with us getting about 800 10" and up. We threw back any under 10". Great to be home to see the kids and wife but I am ready to go back.

What baits worked on the bass?

Live golden shiners. 10" junebug worms and a 3/4 gold rattletrap. Biggest fish came on large shiner. Crappie all came on jigs

Sounds like you whacked the crappie. Sorry to hear that you didn't get the wall hanger Bass you were looking for. Better luck next trip I hope for ya. I'll be heading down to Alligator Alley and the Big "O" in 2 weeks (March 6) to spend a week bass fishing. Going to visit a good buddy of mine down there and catch some fish too, I hope. This will be my 3rd annual trip to Florida and havent gotten that double digit yet. Oh well, maybe I'll get her this year, and if I do I will still be going next year to try to get one even bigger.
