Is the fluid bed is worth the money? I powder coat FNF and crappie jigs, but I use vinyl and clear coat on my bass jigs. I have been thinking of getting one but I dont know if it will be worth the money for what few things I powder coat.

Good point! Seems to be more of an issue with smaller jigs. Don't remember having that problem on the striper sized ones. Though I did use a fluid bed on those which might make a difference....BEFORE you cure the powder paint, clean out the the eye of the jig! If you don't clean it before curing, you are going to have to dremel out the eye. This stuff cures HARD. I like to clean off all the paint from jig eye, not just the opening. I don't want anything "sawing" on the line.

Fluid bed is great if you are doing a bunch of jigs. I used to do runs of 200-300 an afternoon, so well worth it for that. Even coats, less powder than if you dipped direct, and looked better. For a few jigs here and there, I would just dip in the powder and go. Used the vinyl stuff years ago. Once I tried the powder and got used to it, never dipped in vinyl again.

Thanks for the input, I've been wanting one, but I dont think i really do enough to spend the money on it.
