We will be going out on the lower end of the lake this weekend for the first time in about 7 years looking to catch some bass (either smallies or largemouth). I moved away 7 years ago and am now back.
Can any one help out with conditions, areas, patterns, lures, etc.
Anything would be greatly appreciated and a report will be posted when we return.
other than last week.
throw jerkbaits, cranks, jigs and of course float and fly and you should be ok
Hey there,
I'm still catching them on FNF. Purple/chart/duck and blue/chart/duck are best with blue/pink/duck working at times. 9 feet deep and on the lower end, any creek about the first third of the creek. Just stay in the first third of the creeks and you should be fine. I've caught 'em good except for about 8-10 days after that flood we had a few weeks ago. The water has cleared some and is SLOWLY rising to about stable which makes for a great bite. Plan on going Thursday or Friday and will post results. Had 3 nice keepers Monday with 3 throwback smallies and a KY. ALL fish were released unharmed.
Good luck and hope this helps,
bassmaster
hey bassmaster, have you been catching your fish out of otter and beaver, thats were most of the fish are coming from downlake right now
Bereabasser,
I've caught them out of Lilly, Greasy, Beaver, Wolf and Indian. The one common thing about these creeks is location in the creek, the first 1/3 of the creeks are better for me. Greasy has been the best, especially for largemouth. I haven't been in Otter this winter but usually do well there. I think I'm going Friday and will post results Friday night. See ya'll on the water,
bassmaster
yea...weve had our luck in harmon, wolf,up around jamestown and around the boys camp
