can anyone comment on the older(1998 or later models) yamaha pro-v 150 engines.good or bad.i think this is the engine before the v-max engines came out.i know most people love their v-max engines but i am trying to find out if the older pro-v are as dependable as the v-max engine. thank you for your comments

I had a 87 Pro-V 150 and there is no telling how many hours I had on it when I sold it 4 yrs ago to a friend and he is still running it. To this day, the only thing thats ever been done to it other than tune ups, is I had to put a coil pack on it.
I have a Pro-V 200 on my skeeter and it runs like a champ. The only thing I have had done to it is rebuild the carbs, tune up, and new water pump when I first got it.
