There is a lot of good access around any of the lake's bridges. I always see lots of cars off the side of the roads on the 31E bridges. I would say if you get to any bridge access on a creek arm you would do very well. The dam is hit and miss. You either hit a great day or you get skunked. Its a tossup. I would try the dam early in the morning and if you dont get anything in the first hour then go to the lake. If the spillway is unfishable, then go to the small slough on the field side of the river. If the spillway is fishable or just barely unfishable, then I would try the riprap lining the river all the way down to the campground.
