Back from Woodscreek

Fished for bout 10 hours. Caught 12 bass and 1 trout. Not a single bass was 10 inches. I have always heard that it holds some larger fish but we could not find them. It looks like a fishy lake but no big takers. Is this all that is usually caught here?

I had always heard this lake was tough but in the Spring the fishing is supposed to be better. Maybe it was just an off day. Did you see any cruising fish?

I threw them. Got there at 5 in the morning and fished everything and everywhere. There wasnt no one catching anything.

The last four trips i have managed a total of 0 keepers and 41 throwbacks.I have caught them on ole monsters, regular size brush hawgs, 1/2 jigs with BIG chunks...Ive fished shallow, mid, deep and deeper...I dunno i usually do good on this lake, ive fished it for 15 years. This spring has sucked for me pretty much everywhere, i cant seem to get on anything worth crap. I did catch a 5lber from woodscreek in march, but thats it.......
