Cumberland 5/13

fished today from 9 til 2. water temps in the 66-68 range. lake is nearly at 680 now. mudline on mainlake mudbanks from wave and wind action o/w clear in the creeks. boated 8 today with only one keeper smallie (no pics as i fished alone today). 5 smallies and 3 spots. all fish on swimbaits - 4 tiny e, 3 spots on lake fork swim bait and one on huddleston deluxe shad. missed another fish on the huddleston that i could not get a hook in. all in all a very nice day on the lake. several storm fronts moving in - prob not back on the water this week but will post again if i get the chance. good luck to all. btw no debris on the lake. if you are not fishing cumberland now you are missing out. this is the best spring fishing i have seen here for 8 yrs now. you can target (still) pre-, spawn and post-spawn fish. guys have even been catching them on TOPWATER already!

yea thats right topwater fish are going to start guardingfry right now and u can kill them on topwater
