Let me start by thanking everyone that gave me advice, when I asked for help getting ready for the Championship tournament on the Ohio River. This was challenging to say the least. The river was 19 feet over normal pool, and then it rained some more. The river is loaded with debris, with large trunks of trees making there way down river. A couple of boats lost lower units, from hitting this debris. So please be carefull if you are heading out on the Ohio River. I could not find a good pattern to fish, so I ended up taking a trip toward Louisville. Fished creeks until I stumbled on some fish. Caught a limit 6.76 pounds (Big Saluda Creek), was enough to get me to the final day. I was throwing a spinner bait (large single gold Colorado blade charteus and white skirt), and black and blue jig w/rattle. Rained heavy after I caught that limit. My creek was up about 5 feet when I went to fish it on the final day. I blanked on the last day.
Thanks again to all that offered their help.
