I took mine to a dealer. They have a commercial carpet cleaner/extractor that restored mine. Since then, I take it to a car wash and spray it out when it gets muddy or dirty. It seems to work.

Looking for the best way to clean the carpet on my 2000 Ranger 520. It's matted down in few places and would like to raise it back up if possible and give it a good cleaning. I did some research and found all kinds of different ideas. I went to the Bassmaster website and they suggested to vacuum the carpet then thoroughly spray it with an automotive degreaser. Then wet the carpet over the degreaser, scrub with a brush then blast it clean with a power sprayer. Anybody ever tried this approach? If not, what works for you. Thanks.

The car wash works great. Just make sure you get all the soap out. Seems like some hoses still have a bit of suds left in them.
I've even got it a little soapy before in the car wash. I did rinse it for double the time after it, and it seemed to help a little on the tough stains.
Definitely use a brush---it will really pick up those matted areas of carpet. Then the power wash--works great too.
