    Trailer Question

The new boat i bought has a tandem trailer, i cannot find anywhere where i can lock the trailer to the ball, does anyone else have a trailer like this, and if so, how do you lock your trailer so someone does not steal it? Thanks

    Re: Trailer Question

It should have a pin in place to hold down your latch on the ball. They make a diferent type lock for this type of latch. It is a long nail looking device and a little bolt lock. Just remove the pin and thread the nail looking peice all the way through then slide the little lock on the other side of it. I had to ask the dealer on mine cause I couldnt figure it out either. Here is a link to BPS of the lock type I am talkin about hope this helps. you can pick them up at any marine store also.

    Re: Trailer Question

You should also have the ball welded to the receiver hitch, along with a locking pin, and locking coupler. If you don't, they can just unscrew the bolt under the ball, then stick it thru their receiver screw the bolt back in and worring about getting the coupler lock off after they pull your rig home.

    Re: Trailer Question

Wal-mart or any autozone has similar coupler locks (master locks). So far I have not had any problems out of it. I would also get a good lock for the spare tire. That is usually the first thing to disappear.
