Nice report.

Drove down to the river late this morning, and it's in perfect shape for wading. The Corps is running one generator for an hour or so and then shutting it down for about three hours. Makes for a really great flow for wade fishing.
Started with a #16 prince nymph and caught about ten small rainbows and a couple of small browns. When they turned on a generator, the fish went nuts. The fish came up out of the deeper holes and just covered up the shoals that were about two feet deep. Swiched to a bead-head copper john and really caught em. Got five rainbows in the slot, and lots of smaller ones. Probably caught nearly fifty by the end of the day.
Lots of fun. If you like to wade for them, nows a good time.
Nice report.
Are you guys noticing an increase in the number of small trout this year? Last year we caught the majority of our fish within the slot limit and this year we have not found the same to be true.
Thanks for the report...didn't find any keys did you
I was fishing yesterday at a spot that really gets hammered by fishing pressure, so I usually don't catch many good fish there. Yesterday I had 5 in the slot though, and that's really good for that spot. To answer your question, I guess I really haven't noticed a reduction in the size of the fish. I think that fishery is the crown jewell in KY waters.
