    Question Panfish help PLEASE

Myself and 3 others have volunteered to take some kids fishing Monday the 14th on Taylorsville Lake. These Kids are fighting cancer and are having a summer camp. The guys and myself fish for Bass and not Bluegill or crappie. I'm not looking for your honeyhole and I don't think size matters just fast action. I'll be busy baiting hooks. If you can point us in the right direction you have my thanks. My e-mail is jerrycole@insightbb.com if you don't want to post here. Thanks again.

hey Jerry get some wax worms or crickets and hang out around the timber.sometimes you'll even get good catfish close to the bank on em.i like a little popeye to put the wax worm on.cricket i just use the float and little splitshot rig..the timber along the bank in the horshoe bend area always seems good..for crappie i have no idea really..

I caught some nice bluegill around the state ramp last weekend on rooster tails. I have also been doing well along the right hand side of the main lake on rooster tails and small crankbaits. I just started at the point straight across from the Settelrs Trace Ramp and fished all the laydowns. I am sure red worms or wax worms would be even better. Good Luck!!!

Jerry, the timber or the backs of any and all coves are covered up with gills. Wax worms and you guys wil catch'em hand over fist out there. Good luck and God Bless you and the others for helping the kids out.

    Re: Panfish help PLEASE

That little black rooster tail has always been great for bluegill for me. If you don't want them to have to mess with a treble hook and decide to go with the wax worms, I'd use the little popeye jig like ctfshwisker recommends as it keeps you from hooking them deep and I don't notice any difference on catch ratio.
