Good advice! Have pondered the thought but not took the time. Believe I will.

Geofisher just suffered the lose of some his equipment that was covered by his insurance. Please members, take a good look at your boat policy. Some policies do NOT cover contents of your boat.
I recently went over my policy with my insurance agent and increased my content coverage with a $100.00 deductible. Will cover rods, reels, tackle, trolling motor, etc.
Better to check it now than wait for a lose and found out your coverage is worthless.

You may also want to take pictures or video all of your equipment just to make sure you have all the evidence needed when filing a claim. Easy to say you have Loomis and such fine equipment when it is time to file a claim but harder to prove it to the insurance company for them to write that check. My guess is most insurance will cover "x" amount of dollars in personal items but we all know that will not necessarily cover the "Good" stuff.
I supplied my agent with the serial numbers of my fish finders, trolling motor, etc.
