Labor Day Weekend

Just wondering if anybody is going to venture out this weekend and if so where? I know it's a bad weekend to fish with all the boat traffic but I've got to get a fix.

I'll be on Rough all weekend, dont know just how much fishin we'll do, maybe in the morning and late evening. Every one be safe this weekend, watch out for the drunks and wear your PFD's.

I'll be on Lake Cumberland hunting for some stripers. If everything goes well, I'll be off the water before the pleasure boaters even get out of bed!

I plan to set up 5 lines of cold canned beer in my back yard, with 20 cans per row and 1 foot between each can. Then sit on my back deck, and throw a thumbburner with a carolina rigged treble hook to see how many I can catch. I figure I'll save gas, avoid the traffic on the ramps and lakes, and I know of no state law that limits my catch of cold 12 ounce containers. In the best interests of catch and release, after "tagging the can with an open tab", I'll insure the can gets recycled.

Afer a day like this morning I am with Bob. Fished Dix River and wow notta nothing zero zip. That place usually is great on the morning bite but NNOOOOOO not this morning. Beer and more beer.

I never gave it much thought until now, but maybe Labor Day weekend would be a good time to go squirrel hunting? If nothing else maybe hit the farm pond...about all I'm going to do is take off on Thursday to go out for a "test and tune" of the old Jon-Boat. If anyone does venture out this weekend onto any of the major lakes, be careful.

Hey Kyle check that fuel level, lol. Just kiddin buddy, good luck down there it will be crowded. Watch for the hybrid jumps early and late. Have you a top walker on you can launch a long ways if they come up on ya.

Hope everyone stays safe this weekend and wear PFD's and Kill switch"s. It Is going to be wild on the water sunny all weekend to much for me. I don't want to end up getting mad and run over a jetskier from "water rage". Good luck to all and please be safe.
