I wish I had access to that. I really, really want to dump windows, but unless I can get the wireless card to work, I'll never get there.

We will be better off using Mozilla Firefox on our pc's. It will keep spyware and malware down to minimum. This will help in keeping our pc's running more efficient.

Thanks. I may take you up on that. I actually switched to Linux again this past weekend and was able to get wireless to work...but only after I disabled my network's WPA security. I've played with it for a couple of days now, and I'm not sure I want to go to Linux. It's still a bit too buggy for me.

Speaking of browsers - Google is coming out with a new browser today that I plan to try. It's called Chrome.

It's buggy if you're not smart enough to play with the code, etc!

I really only need a computer that has an internet connection and a browser. I do not use software on my home computer at all other than the browser.

The main reasons I'm switching back are that I don't like having to go without security for my wireless network and some things that I had trouble with (bugs) in a couple of days of playing around with it included sound control, monitor resolution, Firefox Linux browser is subpar to the Windows and MAC version, etc.

yeah its not exactly "plug and play". we use Suse Enterprise which is command line and a lot of the guys have their laptops setup dual-boot with windows/linux. our cash register software runs on windows but everything else is in linux so we have to have access to both platforms.
