    Clear on Possession limits !!!

    Regulations go into effect March 1, 2009
    Twice the daily creel limit for all species with one.

    No one person shall possess more than one creel limit while on the water or on the shore.

    no one shall possess more than two times the daily limit of unprocessed fish at any time.

    You CAN return home with more than the possession limit if the fish have been cleaned and its moe than a two day trip.

    This is a fair rule. There were guys in minnesota that had almost 1 thousand perch in thier possesion after a week of ice fishing, that was almost four times the possesion limit, they were lucky to only get fined, and not need to walk back home. Same thing happened in Indiana with coho salmon, guy went fishing every day, limited out, and was having them smoked.Alot of those freezer fish, wind up in the garbage can later. In some places you need to leave a skin tab on every fillet, and when they check you, better be legal. Usuallu these things come up because someone has called the DNR and made a complaint.
