Frankfort, Ky. – Thumbpicker Eddie Pennington strikes a chord with fall crappie fishing at Kentucky Lake this weekend, October 4 and 5, on “Kentucky Afield” TV.

Pennington’s rendition of “Cannonball Rag” is recognized by generations as the ”Kentucky Afield” theme song. On this weekend’s show, meet another side of the Princeton, Kentucky musician as he joins the show’s host Tim Farmer for another passion - fishing.

Elsewhere, a heart-pumping experience in the state’s southeastern elk country isn’t limited to hunters. The bugling heard in the morning mist signals mating season. Come along as we participate in an elk tour based out of Pine Mountain State Resort Park in Bell County.

Also, autumn is always extra colorful at the Kentucky National Wildlife Art Exhibit, an annual event held at the Henderson Fine Arts Center. Farmer attends to canvas this year’s entries. The exhibit runs through November 7.
