It just seems had McCain won the election, and I came on here and talked about how awful he is and will be in office - I would be called UnAmerican, Un-patriotic, and against everything our democracy stands for.

The guy isn't even in office yet, and you all act as if the world has come to an abrupt end. I didn't vote for George W., but I supported him and the decisions he made (at least throughout his first term).

I hate to bash anyone, but how am I suppose to get behind a man that sat in a Church of God, and listened to a man spew hate about white people, has a wife that has admitted "this is the first time in my life that I have been proud of my country", and makes no bones about disliking white people, and does not believe in God, he is a Muslim, no matter what anyone says, he joined a Christian church only because he had to, so he could run for President. A good musleum is one that kills non-believers, us god fearing people. I never thought this country would allow a Muslim to be the leader of my country, the country that a lot of great men had died defending from people just like Osama, I mean Obama. I will be the first to admit, Bush made mistakes, but hey who hasnt, please name one President that was perfect, I dont believe there ever was one, but at least Bush never waivered from his beliefs, and the liberal media made him out a lot worse than he was. Hell how long has the Democrats ran Congress, and their approval rating is lower than Bush's. Everyone wanted changes, and we are going to get it, and I hope everyone likes it, because I pray to God he dosent ruin this country. Sorry for the long rant, just cant believe a non-believer is going to run this country.

There has always been a double standard. In the past if one of the candidates had lost everyone would of just gone to bed and been a little angry. I can't help to wonder what would have happen in Grant square last night if McCain had won??? Hint the guns that were fired up in the air last night would have been pointed at someone.

So you are telling me that he is not nor has ever been a Muslim? If he is not, then I would be the first to apologize, but I know he was raised Muslim. If you went to a Church that the preacher constantly preached hate, and serpratism, wouldnt you leave, or just ignore the parts you didnt agree with? Are all these critisisms made up by the right? It dosent matter now, but I think Kentucky showed him how we felt about his views.

This has been beat to death for a while now. His father was a muslim. His father left when he was young. He was a member of a Christian church for 20+ years, so did not join just to run for pres (not that religion should play any part). Even his opponent McCain stated publically that Obama was not a Muslim. The Muslim crap came up in some hate emails that were sent around. Unfortunately, many people actually believed it (or still do).

Really? Your surprised? I didn't want him and he won, so yeah I'm sad the way this vote went. I strongly feel his policies are a joke and that he is a puppet. He is a Liberal pawn that will answer to Pelosi and others. I never bought into Global Warming and if Al Gore gets on board with him look out.....tax tax tax in the name of being green.

He has been put on this pedestal by the Liberal Media and himself and he cannot reach this high mark. People look at him with awe and feel he is some sort of super star. I got news for you his life up to this point shows bad judgement and reckless relatioships, not my idea of a great leader.

Heck, he already said it could take longer than one term to fix the aweful state of our country. I thought he was going to have us up and running pretty quickly? Please note the price of gas today and your electric bill and we will revisit that figure next winter. Which way do you guys think it will go?

How about we compare the average price of gas over the next four years as opposed to the last four years, just to get a true measure. I would say it will end up being pretty similar - I don't see the price of gas staying under $2 for very long, and I don't think the greatest president in the world can make that happen.

I just think too many people are discounting him, before he has made one presidential decision. I can't say he will do a great job, neither can anyone else. Just the same, I can't say he will be awful either. I think his largest test as president will be to try to decrease the political divide that the last eight years, as well as this election has caused.

Come on now. He is a uniter not a divider. He said he would unite us why all the hate talk. And as far as his faith goes, he is just like all of us who are strong in our faith. We sometimes slip up by accident when talking about it. I'm sure you all get confused and start talking about your Muslim faith. Just a slip of the tung. No I don't ever remember getting my faith confused with another one. My God said he would have no other god's before Him. How could I confuse that? At least there will be at least one guy that can say his middle name. That will be the justice who swears him in.

On McCain, I would be on here day one ripping him for his views on illegal immigration, freedom of speech, big bail outs, cap n trade, global warming etc., good gravy I'm glad he lost. Now instead of socialism lite, we will have the real thing.

I'm glad the Dems have shown us how to unite the way they united under Bush. Now I know how we should look at our troops with BHO as commander n chief. We have to support BHO's decisions with our troops. Wait a minute, I do remember dems saying they support the troops but dont support the commander n chief. In fact, it's ok to send them but not ok to support them with funding. We now know you can vote one way and then change your mind and demonize the president because he was too smart for you and made you vote the way you did. Religion has everything to do with it, this country was based on Christian fundementals, every law we have is based on Christian fundementals, and all of a sudden religion does not matter, to me its everything. You put someone in office that doesnt even believe in God, or Christian fundementals, this country will go to $%# faster than he can backpedal on his beliefs.

Actually this country was founded on freedom from religious oppression. Albeit, the movement was within the Christian religion. That is why the constitution protects popel with differences - it does not only protect Christians. Obama is a Christian - check the facts on this one, please.

Aside from that point - I know quite a few people that don't attend a Christian church, or choose not to attend any church - I don't think that automatically makes them incapable of achieving or accomplishing great things. This isn't Nazi Germany, we all have the freedom to practice any religion or follow any faith.
