    Mercury outboard problem

I took my boat out on Monday fishing on lake Cumberland. I have not had the boat out in about a month. The last time that I used the boat I put regular Stabile in it. I normally run 87 octane fuel however, this time I added 89.

When I took off to go to my first spot the motor (1999 Mercery 175 EFI) seemed to run sluggish. About two miles down the lake it took off like normal. After leaving my first stop the motor was running sluggish again and did that way the rest of the trip.

    Anybody got any suggestions?

P.S. It runs about 10 mph slower.

Sometimes the stabile can cause it to run a little sluggish until it is used up, run some fuel system cleaner thru it also when you fill up again, but run all the stabile gas out first, as much as you can.

    Thanks Bob.

I'm going to Dale this weekend and I'll try your suggestion.
