My join date is 12/31/1969 Wow, I joined before home PCs even existed. What's up with the incorrect dates?
Oh yes, Those famous punch cards. I attended Purdue in the late '60's early '70's and my fraternity brothers in Computer Sciences were always at the lab punching and arranging those cards. A mean trick was to just pull out ONE of those cards and their attempted prgramming would not operate. Hee Hee. Now, I myself would never stoop so low!!!!
You guys were ahead of the curve! No.. what happened was that all the join dates prior to when we started using the current board software defaulted to 1969 since in the old software there was no join date database field. The info just wasn't there. I have turned it off in a couple places so it does not show. Where are you seing it? Not sure I can turn it off everywhere though.

DUDE......that is JUST wrong.........
I started on punch cards at BSU (while I was in the 7th grade). This was on a DEC-10 around 1983. THEY upgraded to a Dec 20 and then VAX 11/780. THE Vax machines were the first ones that actually used terminals.......and that is when the REAL fun began for me, but that is a different story.
