Can any body tell me some good bait to use in fresh water minnow traps
2-3 slices of bread will do the trick.
Try an onion , sounds weird but it works...........
Really i will have to try that
Crackers with yum scent or a dog bone or soft dog food in cheese cloth
A handfull of dry dogfood works for me and its cheap...sliced bread is good.
A hand full of Frito's works great for Creek Chubs.
I had heard about the onion before too but never tried that.
Yup handful of dry dog food. Trapped bunch of minnows, bluegills, creek chubs, and crawdads on em.
Hey spipjack when you use fritos what size chubs do you trap. This would reduce alot of work for me in the spring. Instead of going out with hook and line to get chubs.
Thanks guys any more tips
Fried chicken bones is what I've always used. Go to KFC for a 3 piece meal, you'll be nice and full just like the trap, lol
