What was "Corinthian (Spelling) Leather?" It was in one of his Chrysler commercials. I never could figure it out. But, I always wanted a car that had it.

I remember those commercials, and I had always assumed that there really was such a thing as "Corinthian Leather." Turns out there isn't, it's just a marketing phrase they made up:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corinthian_leather

And I could have sworn he said "Rich, Corinthian leather," but according to that site it was "Soft Corinthian leather."

I loved him in "The Wrath of Khan."

The site is wrong. He did in fact say "rich corinthian leather" I remember it like it was yesterday.

Like ZX said, we didn't know what it was but most of us wanted some. (Pretty sure rich corinthian leather means vinyl)

Ole Ricardo was pretty cool, hope somebody's welcoming him to Fantasy Island right now.

I heard that it was a made up term several years ago. It worked, like I said I wanted one. Still a good commercial.
