My friend Adam and I got out on the river today in search of Blue cats. We were on the water by 10:15 this mornin' and had no problem finding lots of small Shad in a feeder creek. We set up on some structure in 25' of water right next to deeper water with good current. The river and the barometer were dropping today. We immediately starting catching fish. We caught several fish around 10 lb., a few fish 12 to 15 lb. Adam caught a double, and he also caught one big Blue at 36lb. All fish were caught on fresh Shad. We ended up catching 12 fish total, we pulled out about 4:30. Dave

Good job and nice pics. Thanks for the report.
Even though I'm freezing in this weather you guys make me want to get out a catch a few. Nice! Probably don't feel the cold when you catch them like that huh?
We try to find spots that are out of the wind. We marked a lot of fish on structure, that made it easier. One thermos with hot coffee, and one with hot soup for lunch helps to keep us warm.
nice pic's looks like yall had a blast!
Vern Parrish and I fought our way through the ice chunks and debris, today, to set up in an eddy at the mouth of a creek . Vern caught a 38lb. Blue cat, and I was lucky enough to catch a 45 pounder. See ya, Dave
