    I hereby proclaim that the zebco 33 is without a doubt the absolute best rod and reel set up on the face of the earth!!!!!

    Pretty good for beginners. But it is hard to beat a good daiwa batecaster.

    this is one of the best we use them when fishin of the houseboat we will put 10 to 12 pound test on it and catch big cat fish and carps we have went through more nets then zebco 33 rod and reels. it is a blast to fight big fish on these outfits never had one pole or reel brake.

    It gets the job done. My wife only fishes carolina rigs. She has a zebco 33 on a St. Croix Avid and she has spanked me on that combo. Braid main line and a one ounce weight -she feels everything.

    That's all my Teenage sons use for now and they hold up great.....They say they don't need no baitcaster to catch their fish....

    I'm always buying them for beginners, they are great to learn with, and they do the job!But all the rest of them are just junk, and that includes almost all quantums as well.

    Yeah the good thing about these outfits are that if the get dropped over the side into the water your not out some big money. Seen a few lost that way.
