I'm betting fish will spawn from march until may this year.

January's average daily temps were 3.7 degrees below normal which means the water temps most likely were that much below normal as well. It all depends on the water temps and if you want to go a bit further the moon phase. With this cold winter and if we have anything near what we did last spring then my bet is Full Moon in April GUARANTEED, Full Moon in March and May distinct possibilities.

    Re: Late Spawn?

I think we're still right on schedule as usual. Sure we had some cold days and nights, but none really stuck around long enough to do all that much. Yeah, I've had to break ice at the ramp a time or two this past January, but it was shortlived - we had near record breaking highs the following week...

Right now, on KY and Barkley, the water temps being reported are looking favorable for a good March spawn with the moon...apparently that warm spell a few weeks ago, coupled with all the rain down south that made it's way up to the the twins have warmed it. It may not be the same in other places, but KY and Barkley are looking good so far.
