Shimano buys Power Pro Line Co.

Shimano has just recently completed the purchase of "Power Pro". Now the premier Rod & Reel company owns the leading manufacturer of braided fishing line.

The exciting good news is Power Pro will be offering a $1,500.00 bonus at the Shimano Team Tournament that will be held at Lake Cumberland on April 18th!!

Here's how it works....At the Shimano tournament there will be a Big Bass award for each species. (Largemouth, Smallmouth and KY) Power Pro will add an additional $500.00 for each species if you catch the largest bass using Power Pro Line. That means the big bass in each category could possibly be $1,200.00 (with full field participating)

And.....yes, Bill Barrett...we will give a lie detector test.

I use alot of power pro each year hopefully the price doesnt go up.

Almost all fishing tackle had a price increase at the beginning of 2009. Power Pro had a price increase of 49 cents per spool (wholesale) and I really don't expect them to go up in price for the remainder of this year.
