Steering cable length?

I have a 03 nitro NX882. I have measured the length how the Diagram shows and get 14 feet. Does this sound right it is a 18 foot boat. Have anyone ever replaced steering cables on a NX882?

yes, assuming you measured right allowing for proper bend radius and everything. Did you take the old one out yet? Sometimes a part number is barely legible in the black cable outer jacket somewhere. Imprinted or stamped. That can tell you the length.

Easiest and fastest thing to do for such a new boat is call the manufacturer. They should know what that model was rigged with.
