    Beaver Lake 03-19-09

Water temp was 51.5 to 57. The water was clear as I've ever seen it, I could watch my lizard in 6 ft of water very easy. Found about 100 carp back in 4 ft of water in a cove, nothing back there but mud so I guess they were on break. They need to get there arzes toward the main lake and get to work. I ended up with 12 fish. One keeper and the rest between 11 and 14 in. Jerkbait was the ticket. I had a 14 in Crappie on a 300 Bandit, it was a beast.

Nice to go and actually catch a keeper. Either way I bet it was nice to get out and enjoy the day on the water. Beaver has got alot more structure in the water since the ice storm. Should make for some good nesting this year.
    Thanks for the report...........................Bill

Got some grass coming up but not as bad as it has been in the past. Still a little early in the year to tell. Carp seem to be doing a good job. I am a grass lover though so I hope its not eaten too much.
