Just got back from Cedar Creek. My partner and I had a pretty good day. Water temp was around 49 degrees, and the water was pretty clear. We caught 6 fish between both of us. My biggest went 4lbs 2oz, while my partner caught the first fish of the day -- a 7lb 1oz TOAD!!!!
Crankbaits and water depth around 15 feet seemed to be the ticket this morning....

Congrats on the 7lb'er!! My report is not so good... I was the second or third boat in the parking lot this morning. White ext-cab Chevy 2500 Duramax Diesel, Black Stratos trail. I went to the head and fished shallow with no bites. Came back toward the dam and fished some, caught 1, 13 incher and seen a beaver or river otter or whatever in the world those things are. It was right beside the boat. Made a huge splash when it went back under. Loaded up at 12:15 or so and headed home. I fished everything except for a crankbait and had one of those tied on. Just my luck..
We're thinking about going back in the morning.
Take a number. They are lined up waiting to get in.
Nice bag. Wish I was there. Maybe I will go to Cedar Creek this week.
I don't worry too much about the crowds. I am an early riser anyway, so I try to be on the lake before daylight or at least by 7 a.m. Have always found a place to park in the past. Besides, I think if a person sleeps past sunrise, they have wasted the best part of the day.
