Well i'm back from Dale Hollow, just walked in the door and sat down happy from a good day of fishing today and yestersay. Yesterday wasn't so great didn't catch anything but it was a good nice warm day, and it felt great just to be on the water. but today a caught a 2 1/2lb largemouth bass in the morning on a chartreuse spinner bait about a medium size bait pulling it fast through some trees in the back of illwell creek in a small cove. Thats it for today but at least i got one.
Now for the lake and water conditions.... The water was suprisingly clear actually for this time of year. The water temperature was anywhere from 53 to 58 depending on where i was. The temp was warmer in the very backs of coves.
The bass that i caught hit my spinnerbait HARD!! which is great because it means the spring time fishin' is ON!! Good Luck and good fishin'

Good deal.Next weekend should be good. You have me fired up now.Honey do list has to be done by friday!
We caught them pretty good too. We had 27 SM over 2.5 days. Fished mid-lake Holly-Lillydale. Caught them on the fly and jig early, then around noon switch to tubes, swim baits and cranks.
Oh we did catch one LM about 3 lbs that fought like a piece of dead wood. Smallies are hammering it!
