Anglers Outpost Opens

Just wanted to let everyone know That Anglers Outpost & Marine will be putting on 2 open tournaments this year. Both will be on Herrington Lake, launching out of Chimney Rock.

The day tournament is set for 4/11 from 7am- 3pm
The night tournament is set for 6/13 from 7pm- 3am

Entry fee is $80 and includes launch and Big Fish Pot.

This is a Triton Gold Tournament and Triton Gold members can win up to an additional $3000.

There will be 1 place paid for every 5 entries.

Based on 100 boats the top 3 payouts are guaranteed as;

1st place: $1250.00
2nd place: $800.00
3rd place: $575.00

Big Fish Pot: $500

There will be NO registrations accepted after 6:30am for the day tournament and 6:30 pm for the night tournament.

Entry forms can be picked up at Anglers Outpost. There will be no entries taken prior to the tournament day.

What won??? It has been tough down there recently.

18 boats showed up, with almost all of them weighing in over 3 fish.

1st place: Richmond and Cress 5 fish @ 15.21
2nd place: Roy and Roy 5 fish @ 11.72
3rd place: Conkright and Murphy 5 fish @ 11.55
4th place: Curry and Walter 5 fish @ 11.20

There were 4 fish over 5.5lb weighed as big fish, with the winner going to Roy and Roy with a 7.30 Largemouth.

Just wanted to let everyone know that we will still be holding our tournament 6/13 @ Chimney Rock. All the info that you need is listed in the original post above.

The lake is looking alot better and coming down. There have been good sacks weighed in recently in the Tuesday nighters out of Pandora and the recent Saturday opens. Should be a very good tournament, with alot of boats. Look forward to seeing you all there.

We had a good showing saturday night, There were 55 boats. We paid out 11 places. The top 6 finishers and weights are as follows:

1st: Gibson and Farley with 15.90
2nd: Griffith and Dortson with 13.73
3rd: Sabel and Creech with 13.02
4th: Bryant and Pratner with 12.42
5th: Stewart and Preston with 10.23 and a big fish of 5.34
6th: Rice and Hogue with 9.37

Thanks to everyone for a good tournament. Let everyone know of a few upcoming tournaments on the lake.

Sargents Marine is hosting a tournament out of Bryants Camp on the 20th from 7pm to 3am. there will be free Ribs and drinks prior to the launch.

Backwaters and cabin Creek are hosting a tournament out of Pandora on the 27th. from 7pm-2am. This tournament drew over 120 boats last year.
