Hey,
I remember the days of plastics melting into a nice blob of goop in "old school" tackle boxes.
Are the new boxes, namely the plano waterrpoof boxes...........wormproof.
I've seen a couple guys and their boxes, and they have the worms, tubes, etc, etc, simply dumped in the compartments.......
I've always left stuff in the packaging, but it takes up some space.
Is it safe to just dump it in the box.......

Yeah I have dumped mine in the boxes for many years now. It works in the independant stowaway types as well as the monster all in one tackleboxes. I always keep my Powerbaits in their bag of course but all other plastics have their own compartment to lay in for quick access.
I use worm binders, and still leave them in the original plastic bag, so they are doubled sealed, every know and then give them a shot of KVD spray.
i have some in boxes like my trailers and lizards and creature baits and centipedes... i just keep the colors i use the most in my hard boxes then i got one of them shimano bags that zip weith the insert bags well i took that out cuase its a waste and i stacked all the rest of my soft plastics in it so i have them too cause u never know and its always good to be prepared....but as far as i know they wont leak...... i wouldnt let them bake in the sun on your casting deck i have never done that but they wont if they are out of direct sunlight....
I dump mine out in theboxes but I do divide them out and even label them so when I run out of a certain color I know which one to stock up on.Mainly creature baits.I do get them out of the boat when I get home, just in case. But never had a problem.Iknow if I didnt do this I would have 15 bags of plastic laying all over the boat and my luck would lose them, step on them......etc.........
