    Cumberland river level info?

I am wanting to make a trip to the river in the next couple of weeks and was wondering what gauge height is when the gravel bars are showing and leaving good rippling water any help would be appreciated

The river is high and really rolling. It will stay that way until they get the floodwater out of the lake. Right now the lake is dropping about 3 in. a day and they have around 3 1/2 ft to go. Good luck, Phil

I also would like to know what is the normal gauge level for the river, it is now at 561.56 and the lake is at 683+ the discharge is 22500CFM 24 hours a day.
We know the lake will be held at 680 but what is the river at when things get back to normal?

once the lake is down they will still periodically run the generators,(unless there is a drought going on) so you have to watch the schedule. You can fish the river at any level, but normal for me is 12,000cfs or less. 542 is a good mark for wading, but much over that and you're fishing from the bank.
