    Barkley State Park

I'll be fishing a tournament out of the state park next month and I'm looking for a room. I've never stayed on that side of the lake before so I'm unfamiliar with the accomodations. Can anyone recommend a decent place to stay pretty close to the ramp. If not, how far is the state park ramp from Ky. Dam Village? Thanks for any help in advance.

Are you fishing in the USA Bassin Classic (May2nd and 3rd)?

I like the stay in Cadiz right off of I-24. Super 8 is behind Cracker Barrel. 15 min from the water at the State ramp in little river. There is Holiday inn Express there but higher price and no real boat parking/electric. There is also a Knights Inn there small place don't know much about it. Little river is a haul from KY Dam.

Don't know about the rooms at the State Park Lodge, but the buffet on the weekends is AMAZING.

Poplar creek lodge is a long haul to Barkley state ramp. You would be better off to stay at Cadiz.

Knights Inn was clean and nice last time I was there, and very reasonable. But that was about 6 years ago.

    Define a long haul. I wouldn't mind a 10-15 minute drive.

Why not stay at the Barkley State Park?

The boat parking isn't the best, but it can be done.

Stayed there before and had no complaints.

My buddies stayed at this place back in November and January for duck hunting...it was okay - some India people run it, and they will negotiate the price with you if you're good at it
