will it be a flip fest in the bushes and buzzing in the flowers or will i need to be fishing points and lead in banks? will be staying for the week. what kind of water conditions can i expect? thanks fellers!!!

not what i wanted to hear. thats what happened to me last year.
TVA is predicting KY Lake to be at elevation 359.2 for the foreseeable future so it would appear they'll be in the bushes. Now, if we get alot of rain the next few days they might pull the bottom out of them.
I was hoping to see it stay in the 360"s.
thanks fellas. cant wait to get down there next week.
Had a tourney down there 2 weekends ago and the big fish were in the mouths of the coves. We caught a lot of males by flippin the brush with flowers in them.I would think the big girls would be in the brush on the beds by now because when we went they were making their way back the coves and really close to shallow water. GOOD LUCK!!!
I think all the fish will be holding umbrellas this weekend, I heard a couple inches of rain today and up to 5 inches tomorrow and more Sunday
had a friend down there last week and caught a ton of bass on a black zoom 4"worm shakeyhead. Caught 2 over 6 several around 5 or so and 30-50 bass a day pitchin in to the banks.
bassky
thanks for the help. hopefully it wont rain that bad though.
I was thinking we should be right on with timing with it being cooler this year, but the water up and down was confusing me also making me think they might backup some. Well with the rain, the pitchin' bite may slow but the search baits should be in full swing. Thanks for everyone's posts look for my report about may 10th. Because now I'm about 15 hrs. from my Spring Trip Barkley 2009!!!!!!!! God Bless!, LOL!, and Everyone stay safe.
I was down last weekend and we caught fish in the bushes including 1 over 6 and a mess of 3 and 4 lbers. We fished north Barkley and area's down Around Dryden and Fulton Bays. All on Jigs. 1/2 oz Black/bl with flippen blue chunk and most on casey creek craw. We saw plenty of bass just cruising the brush. That was last weekend. All the jigs were bulked up with large trailers.
