We finished the paint last night with the Air Brush (I need some practice for sure!) and I can't wait to throw this bait! Had a guiding hand by a Master (Thanks Andrew) at this so all I did was follow instructions but I still made it and I'm proud.
I really like the idea of making my own Hardbaits.

No pictures...boo! We like pics.
Be careful, that first step is a doozy!

Pictures? I'm afraid too. I'll get one on here soon....It's not a perfect factory made look but I'm really happy since it's the only one ever made like it and if catches fish...well that would be a bonus.
Hey Don always remember pretty is to catch fishermen not fish, I have been repainting some to but using model car paint and brush just to get started, it is addictive and fun, fish do not care if it pretty. Let us know how it does.
Would love to see how it looks Don. I'm sure it is better than you think.
You know the real joy was see it come from a block of wood to a crankbait shape and then sanding it to the point it was ready for paint. As soon as we get the clear on it I'll post the pics. I can't wait to fish with it!
Yes, and I heard it had a fancy paint job to, WTG buddy, you have a darn good teacher!
Looks even better now that its been clear coated. Makes some of the highlights stand out better. A whole lot better looking than my first attempts! Scale pattern, shad dot, etc. Good stuff!

Great! I am looking forward to getting that baby in the water. Thanks Andrew.
Been some time since I posted a pic so I'm giving it a try.
The pics are not the best...sorry.
Looks good to me......
