Elkorn?

Anyone know what the water level and quality at Elkhorn is like right now? I was thinking of taking kayak down there Tuesday. What is the normal river lettle, and where are the smallies this time of year?

High water. rapids. kayakers seem to love it.

So be careful. Low head dams at forks and old granddad usually claim 1 or 2 every year. fishing is not going to good till water drops. If you go be prepared for class II or III whitewater.

My brother told me today it had good green color to it and seemed normal or close to it. He works at a fire station close to the creek. I would say by Tues you should be fine.

Creek looked good today. water is clearing nice riffles are showing their rocks. wish i could get a day off!
